One of the most impressive aspects of the AMG is its Class-Leading HD Optical System. Vortex designed this optic to deliver outstanding resolution and an exceptionally wide field of view, resulting in a sight picture that remains clear, bright, and highly detailed throughout the entire magnification range. The optic offers an impressive 116.0 feet to 12.0 feet field of view at 100 yards, allowing shooters to maintain awareness at low magnification while still providing precision at higher power settings. 👀

The optical system is further enhanced by XR Plus Lens Coatings, which maximize light transmission and improve low-light performance. Combined with APO (Apochromatic) index-matched lenses, the AMG corrects color across the entire visual spectrum, helping reduce chromatic aberration and improving image fidelity. The result is a sharp, accurate image with excellent contrast and color reproduction even in challenging conditions. 🌅

To protect those optics, Vortex applies its advanced Plasma Tech coating process, providing exceptional coating durability and long-term performance. Additionally, ArmorTek® coatings help shield exterior lens surfaces from scratches, oil, dirt, and everyday wear. These protective technologies ensure the optic remains clear and functional even after extensive field use. 💪

The AMG uses a First Focal Plane (FFP) design with the highly capable EBR-9 (MRAD) reticle. Because the reticle scales with magnification, holdovers and ranging references remain accurate throughout the zoom range. This allows shooters to utilize the reticle effectively whether operating at close range or engaging targets at distance. The reticle itself is glass-etched for durability and reliability, protected between layers of glass for long-term performance. 🎯

Fast transitions are another key part of the AMG design. The integrated throw lever features a 120-degree throw, allowing rapid changes between 1x and 10x magnification while maintaining a low profile that minimizes snagging on gear. This makes the optic particularly well suited for dynamic environments where speed matters. ⚡

Zeroing and adjustment are streamlined through toolless turrets, enabling quick zero adjustments without additional tools. The system provides dependable return-to-zero performance and precise micro-adjustments. The AMG also includes Dual Zero Turrets, allowing users to switch between different zero configurations, such as suppressed and unsuppressed setups or multiple ammunition loads. This feature adds a level of flexibility that many shooters will appreciate. 🔧

The locking side illumination system provides quick access to reticle brightness controls while preventing accidental adjustments. With eleven illumination intensity levels and off positions between each setting, shooters can quickly dial in the desired brightness for changing lighting conditions. The lockable design helps maintain settings during movement and transportation. 🔒

Durability is central to the AMG platform. The scope is constructed from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, providing exceptional rigidity and strength. The low-glare matte black anodized finish offers excellent corrosion and wear resistance while helping reduce visual signature in the field. The optic is also argon gas purged and O-ring sealed, ensuring reliable waterproof and fogproof performance in extreme environments. 🌧️❄️

Vortex designed the AMG to withstand harsh weather, significant recoil, and repeated impact. It is both waterproof and shockproof, making it suitable for demanding applications where reliability cannot be compromised. The locking fast-focus diopter further enhances usability by allowing shooters to precisely focus the reticle and then lock the setting in place. 🔥

One of the most notable aspects of the AMG series is its manufacturing origin. The AMG is Engineered, Machined, and Assembled in the USA using U.S. and global components. Vortex maintains micron-level tolerances throughout the manufacturing process, demonstrating the company's commitment to precision and quality control. 🇺🇸
