🟢 Sig Sauer ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO Green 3 MOA Dot Sight: Low-Profile Optic Integration and Durable Performance 🎯
The Sig Sauer ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO Green 3 MOA Dot Sight (SORX1580) is built around the SIG-LOC mounting system, an optic-to-slide connection developed from the ROMEO-M17 platform. Designed for compatible SIG-LOC PRO footprints, this 1x green-dot sight combines a low deck height, enclosed and sealed optical system, 7075 aluminum housing, side-loading battery access, and 15 illumination settings in a compact Black optic. ✨
SIG-LOC stands for Leverage Optimized Connection. Its design establishes five points of contact between the optic and slide, creating a secure lockup intended to help minimize zero shift from recoil and impacts. This low-profile mounting arrangement is designed specifically for the SIG-LOC PRO footprint, while slides configured for SIG-LOC mounting remain compatible with traditional top-mount reflex sights.
A defining characteristic of the SIG-LOC design is its bottom-mounted configuration. By positioning the optic this way, the system supports a longer focal length intended to reduce parallax and reticle distortion. The result is an optic layout designed to provide a crisp, clear green-dot viewing experience. ✅
The ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO uses a Green 3 MOA Dot reticle. With 1x magnification and a 24mm objective lens diameter, it is designed to provide an unobstructed, natural viewing presentation. The optic also includes a distortion-free aspherical glass lens and a fully enclosed, sealed optical system.
Its rugged housing is precision-built from 7075 aluminum, a material selected for strength in a compact, lightweight design. The Black finish gives the optic a clean, low-profile appearance, while the sealed system and IPX-8 waterproofing help support dependable use in wet conditions. 💧
The ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO features the industry’s lowest deck height for standard-height iron-sight co-witness. This low-profile geometry is designed to keep the optic close to the slide while retaining compatibility with standard-height iron sights on compatible setups.
For illumination management, the sight uses MOTAC (Motion Activated Illumination). This system activates the optic when motion is detected and helps conserve battery power during periods of inactivity. The ROMEO-X SIG-LOC PRO has 15 illumination settings, including 12 daylight settings and 3 dedicated night-vision settings. 🔋
A side-loading battery compartment houses one CR2032 battery, allowing battery replacement without removing the optic from its mount. The sight is rated for up to 20,000 hours of battery life.
The optic measures 1.9 inches long, 1.24 inches wide, and 0.96 inches high. It includes 40 MOA of total elevation travel and 80 MOA of total windage travel for adjustment.
