The Tenacious is the flagship of Spyderco’s Value Folder family—an incredibly popular series of knives created to provide all the signature qualities of a Spyderco CLIPIT design in a budget-friendly format. While the original version of the Tenacious featured peel-ply-textured G-10 scales, the Tenacious Lightweight showcases scales injection molded from tough fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN). The molded scales reduce its weight by almost 10 percent compared to its G-10-handled counterpart and offer the enhanced grip traction of our signature Bi-Directional Texture pattern. All other features are consistent with the original model, including a full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade, full, skeletonized stainless steel liners, a four-position pocket clip, and a sturdy LinerLock mechanism.
